Like a flower that is born out of a bud, Araamu Spa was born and created. From jasmine scented coconut oil to hand crafted Spa’s, Araamu Spa was born out of a vision of a local brand reaching the international arena and the desire to provide the ultimate in luxurious indulgence.
Maldives had its own form of Ancient Asian Baths called ‘voyage’. Araamu Spa has recreated the long lost cultural heritage and tradition by introducing the first local Spa brand ‘Araamu’, that offer modern elements with a cultural touch.
The 1st of March 2001 marked the official opening of Araamu Spa with the inauguration of its first spa on Royal Island. This was soon followed by Paradise Island, Sun Island, Holiday Island and Fun Island being the most recent of the establishments. With close to 50 Therapists working in 5 Spa’s, the Araamu brand of Spas is the largest and widest Spa brand and service provider in the Maldives.
