Yasuragi is no ordinary spa hotel. The architecture of the Japanese bath is a modern, asymmetric version of a Japanese emperor’s courtyard, with a large swimming pool at its architectural heart. 

There are several small concrete houses which offer different ways to relax and revitalize. This includes a salt steam sauna, rain shower, a carbonated bath as well as a cold spring and a dry sauna with a beautiful view over the forest outside. 

The spa area offers a Japanese foot bath, a Rest Sauna and a Cavern Bath, whereas the traditional Japanese ablution room allows guests to wash themselves in the traditional onsen way. Guests are also encouraged to make use of the bath area where they can bask in the warmth of the indoor and outdoor Japanese hot springs or enjoy soothing spa treatments and other relaxing activities. 

The Japanese word Yasuragi can be translated as the long deep exhale you make when you really let go and relax. For example, when you, after washing yourself in the Japanese way, slowly sink into a hot spring. You exhale!
