Grand Resort Bad Ragaz dates back to 1242 when a unique body temperature thermal water source was discovered at a nearby gorge. In 1840 the Blue gold (the healing, body-warm Thermal Waters) was channelled to Bad Ragaz.
The Wellbeing & Thermal Spa covers 5 500 square meters and is extended by the onsite public Tamina Therme (Europe’s first thermal water indoor pool in 1872) with 7 300 square meters, exclusive for hotel guests. Guests have plenty of activities and offerings to choose from within the 12 800 square meters of spa area, where a total of 16 pools are on offer.
Complementing the wellbeing and recreational facilities, is the internationally renowned Medical Health Centre, founded in 1957, which offers the highest level of diagnostics, preventive care and rehabilitation, as well as the Swiss Olympic Medical Centre. The Medical Health Centre’s 70 doctors and therapists are highly regarded for treatments like weight loss, detox, rehab and anti-ageing. Grand Resort Bad Ragaz also features a Laser Centre, which opened in 2016.
