Skye Bistro @ Fordoun is an intimate boutique restaurant serving the Fordoun Hotel and Spa. Named after the Isle of Skye in Scotland, it is a favourite destination with locals and returning guests. Serving hearty country cuisine fused with international cuisine, Executive Chef Lorenzo Giliomee sources some of the Natal Midlands’ best produce for the varied menus.
Breakfast is a combination of continental buffet and hot dishes. Start your day with flaky pastries, seasonal fresh fruits, preserves, midland cheese, boozy Scottish oats, light and fluffy omelettes or the healthy muesli pie and guava ice-cream. Lunch is a light and flavoursome affair with favourites like trout fish and chips, artisan pizzas and succulent burgers.

Dinner entices with asian inspired smoked duck-breast and crepe, tempura prawns, salads, succulent lamb shanks, signature beef fillet gratineed with charcoal brie as well as fragrant curries. Desserts include mango, milk-tart and beetroot ice cream, decadent chocolate bread-pudding with Amarula ice cream and a Midlands cheese selection.
