Established in 2017, Samrub Samrub Thai began as a knowledge-sharing platform dedicated to Thai food and culture – not as a conventional restaurant, but as a living, evolving exploration of Thai culinary heritage.
Founded by chef Prin Polsuk and Thanyaporn “Mint” Jarukittikun, the project aims to bring forgotten dishes back to life and spotlight hyper-local ingredients and techniques passed down through generations.
The menus are based on their ongoing research and travels, serving dishes that rethink Thai cooking traditions while remaining deeply rooted in them. The result is not only a progressive Thai menu – but a living archive of Thai culinary knowledge, shared one table at a time.
In December 2023, the restaurant was awarded a one-Michelin star featured in the 2024 Michelin Guide Thailand and retained in 2025, recognizing its excellence in preserving and innovating Thai cuisine. It was also ranked number 29 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 list, further cementing its status as a leading culinary destination in the region.
