The recognition highlights the team’s ability to blend traditional and modern practices in a serene environment, designed to empower women on their wellness journey.

Exclusively for women, Kintsugi Space is a seven-storey sanctuary designed to help guests reconnect, rest, repair, reset, and renew while fostering personal growth. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi – which symbolises healing, resilience, and renewal – Bortolin developed the spa’s signature method, the A.R.T. of Beautiful Wellness, rooted in Awareness, Resilience, and Transformation. This philosophy underpins every aspect of the guest experience.
Each wellness journey begins with a pioneering Quantum Assessment, a deeply personalised evaluation of the body’s needs and energy. From this, an individualised Quantum Personalised Wellness Plan is created – combining ancient wisdom and contemporary practices – to boost wellbeing and guide women towards balance, renewal, and inner strength.

Kintsugi is a new global healing movement, designed to empower, inspire, and uplift people. The wellness brand draws inspiration from the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold and encourages people to embrace the flow with transformation.
The first Kintsugi Space launched on Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi in November 2023, an entirely new concept for the destination. This was followed by the launch of the lifestyle product line in 2024, while other exciting spaces internationally are planned. The “Wellness Documentary” is about to be launched in November 2024 to inspire in a powerful way holistic wellness seekers and educate audiences on the importance of health and well-being.
The Kintsugi project and team are now led by the ‘gentle genius of Patrizia Bortolin, one of the world’s most beloved spa creatives’ (Country & Town House Magazine) and founder of Glowing Flow Spa Consultancy. Patrizia is accompanied by a Board of experts, including celebrity Facialist Anastasia Achilleos, and Dr Divya Sudheesh.
