Best Historical Hotel (Global), Best Mountain Retreat (Europe) and Best Wellness Resort (Romania) at the 2026 Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards
Bucegi Mountains, Romania, 21 September 2026. Hotel Peștera – Wellness & SPA has been recognised at the 2026 Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards with three distinctions: Best Historical Hotel (Global), Best Mountain Retreat (Europe), and Best Wellness Resort (Romania).
The Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards recognise excellence in the hospitality industry worldwide, with results based on guest feedback rather than judging panels. The awards place Hotel Peștera alongside internationally recognised properties in the categories of heritage hospitality, mountain destinations and wellness.
Set at 1,610 metres in the Bucegi Mountains, within the Bucegi Natural Park, Hotel Peștera is one of Romania’s highest-altitude five-star hotels. The property combines a mountain-retreat setting with the OXYGEN Spa & Wellness centre, indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi and saunas, the Kogaion Restaurant and year-round access to hiking, skiing and the natural landmarks of the Bucegi plateau.
