Hotel Yak and Yeti

Hotel Yak and Yeti is based in the heart of Kathmandu, offering sophisticated comfort and elegance on grounds steeped in history. Located at the fashionable Durbar Marg, Hotel Yak and Yeti is just minutes from Kathmandu’s best shops and restaurants and central to the city’s sights.
The hotel opened in 1977 as a 120 rooms five-star hotel, the first of its kind in Nepal. A new wing with 150 additional rooms followed which was built in harmony with the architecture of the old palace, the Lal Durbar, featuring beautiful artefacts, art and traditionally crafted fixtures.

The Lal Durbar Convention Centre offers multiple MICE venues ranging from 330 sq. ft. to 8,500 sq. ft. in area along with ample parking spaces.

Over the years, the hotel has been upgraded to include a shopping arcade, swimming pool, two tennis courts, state-of-the-art fitness centre and a luxury spa. Dining options include the Spice Room restaurant overlooking the lush green gardens and The Chimney – a historic fine dining restaurant.

The hotel also offers a business centre, an exclusive executive floor and Club Shangri-La lounge.
